Skiing in the Italian Alps
I’m fortunate to have some wonderful friends who decided that Tany and I needed to go on a skiing holiday with them. So, last week I learnt how to fly down the side of a mountain with a couple of skis attached to my feet and not die.
Day one was a bit shaky, with me [...]Feb 8th, 2010 | Filed under Personal -
Back to work
January’s come as a bit of a shock. On Monday I was really up for getting back to work. The holiday had gone on for long enough and I was feeling really motivated and ready to get on with the challenges that the new year was going to bring.
Monday night, however, was not perfect. I [...] -
Grand Forks and the twister
This part of the world gets some strange weather. Tany and I are now in Grand Forks, North Dakota, where the Buffalo outnumber the humans significantly and the state tree is believed to be the telephone pole. This place really is mostly empty.
We arrived on Thursday in time to be at Tany’s cousin’s wedding at [...]Jun 29th, 2009 | Filed under PersonalTags: holiday -
Visiting JAARS
On Tuesday afternoon we arrived at JAARS in Waxhaw, NC. Visiting Wycliffe US
Yesterday afternoon Tany and I arrived in Orlando. Temperature leaving Boston was around 20c, in Orlando it’s closer to 35c and humid. All this sun and warm weather and there’s not a person on the street to enjoy it, they’re all hiding inside where there’s air conditioning.
I’m here because Wycliffe’s US base is in Orlando. [...]Jun 23rd, 2009 | Filed under Personal -

Atlanta Falcons @ Boston Red Sox
We made it. I have no idea how as we didn’t join the line for tickets until 4pm and gates opened at 5, so we weren’t right at the front. But, we got in and didn’t have to spend a fortune to do it.
This evening I went to my first baseball game ever, and it [...]Jun 21st, 2009 | Filed under Personal -
New England
On Tuesday we left Boston behind and made the three hour drive up to North Conway at the edge of the White Mountains National Park. Despite all the research before the holiday I missed that it was bike week. Thousands of motorcycles had descended on the area to drive up Mt Washington and enjoy the [...]

Holiday
Well folks, that’s it for a bit. I’m not sure how much blogging I’m going to be doing while on the road, but for the next three and a bit weeks I’m outta here!
Tomorrow I fly to the US. Boston to be precise, where Tany and I will be hanging out for a few days [...]Jun 12th, 2009 | Filed under PersonalTags: holiday
