Who I am
Hello.
In case you haven’t guessed from the “oh so imaginative” URL, this is the website of Phil Prior – that’s me.
I’m a married 30 something year-old marketing professional working as the Head of Marketing for Wycliffe Bible Translators in Buckinghamshire, England. I’m a Christian with some kind of mixed liberal-conservative or conservative-liberal world-view.
What Head of Marketing for Wycliffe UK means
I work for Wycliffe UK, an organisation managing Bible translation and literacy projects all around the world. My job title is Head of Marketing and I have responsibility for the management of communications between Wycliffe and their staff, their supporters and everyone else who hasn’t yet heard of them and what they do.
Why I am doing it
There are a few reasons for why I have taken this career path. The most fundamental is that I believe that it is what God has called me to do at the particular stage in my life. I also believe that what is written in the Bible is true and that the news of Jesus Christ is something that all people, regardless of their geographical location, level or education or language have the right to hear about and make their own informed decision about.
