I’ve just read the following…
Where are the missionary practitioners who will lead the church into a direct, responsible, and missiologically sound participation in missions? [read the whole post here]
I’m going to be pondering this for a while, and the rest of Ernest Goodman’s post, but without the expectation of coming to any sort of conclusion.

Ernest Goodman asks some great questions, and his criticisms of marketing missions help keep me honest. But missions organizations are full of people – people who are leading the church in missions. The missionary practitioners he is looking for are probably part of the organizations he dismisses. Wright, Warren, and Maxwell have strong personal brands, while missions has strong organizations made up of many people. Both have brands, and both have leaders.
