Life updated, etc…

You’ll have to excuse the silence around posts this week. It’s not for lack of things to say, more time to write anything down in a coherent manner.

Work has focussed around writing strategies. We’ve been trying to work out what best to do to promote a national tour with Saltmine next year. I think the plan is now pretty clear, at least for us that only have to deal with promotion and communication, but it still took a little while to get our collective heads around.

Then there’s the whole planning for the future of Wycliffe UK’s communications. I’ve been working away at a draft strategy. Trying to think who our primary customers (for want of a better term) are and how we can best communicate with them. Of course, when I’ve finished agonising over this I’ll need to share it with colleagues who can then tell me where I’ve gone wrong and make amendments. Hope it’s not too drastic.

On the home front, Tany failed to be offered an interview for either of the two physiotherapy jobs she applied for. One had 300 applications for one place, which illustrates the demand for these jobs. Sometimes it’s a bit difficult to work out what God has in store for you. As Tany points out, why was she allowed to do the Masters course if God didn’t intend her to work as a physio? But, as we both know, His plans aren’t always that straightforward and sometimes it’s a little while before we understand how things are supposed to work out. Just a little frustrating in the meantime.

Right, I’m going back to packing boxes. We’re moving offices tomorrow morning and I need to get the last part of my desk cleared.
